Participation Fee Refund Program

MCLAX is committed to keeping lacrosse accessible and affordable while building the strongest possible program for our players. The Participation Fee Refund Program rewards families who help generate resources for Lakewood Ranch High School Lacrosse through leadership, volunteer service, or sponsorship connections.

Program Overview – Three Pathways

Families may qualify for a participation fee refund through one or more of the following approved pathways during the season, subject to program rules.

Organize & Lead a Fundraiser

Lead an approved fundraiser, from start to finish.

Participate as a Volunteer

Volunteer to assist with an approved fundraiser.

Connect / Refer a Sponsor

Help secure qualifying sponsorships, monetary or in-kind.

Key Program Rules

  • Max Refund Per Player – The total participation fee refund a player may receive for the 2026-2027 season is capped at $350, regardless of the pathway or amount generated.
  • Pathways Combined – A player/family may earn refunds through multiple approved pathways during the season, subject to the $350 maximum refund cap. EXCEPTION: Organizer/Lead families may not recieve Volunteer refund credits for the same fundraising event.
  • Approved Activities Only – All fundraisers, volunteer hours, and sponsorships must be approved in advance by MCLAX.
  • Verified & Documented – Refunds are based on verified net proceeds, verified volunteer hours, and verified qualifying sponsorships only.
  • Board Approval – All refunds are subject to MCLAX Board-approved program policy and procedures. This is a pilot program and is subject to revision.

Organize & Lead

Propose

Submit your fundraiser idea for MCLAX approval, or sign-up for an existing fundraising event.

Plan and Lead

Organize, schedule, recruit, and lead your fundraiser.

Complete & Report

Submit final income / expense report along with documented volunteers/hours.

Earn Refund

Receive 35% of net proceeds – not to exceed $350 total season refund. Formula = .35 x Net Proceeds.

Hours are endorsed and submitted by organizer for approval by MCLAX.

Earn Refund

Refund based on hourly rate – up to $20 per verified hour. Volunteer payment ‘pool’ based on 15% of net proceeds, divided between participants.

Introduce a potential sponsor to MCLAX / Lakewood Ranch High School Lacrosse.

Sponsorship Confirmed

Sponsorship (single or combined) of $250+ qualifies for refund.

Approval and Verification

Ensure sponsor includes player/family name during sponsorship coordination.

Earn Refund

Refund based total value. $250 = $50, $500 = $100, $750 = $200, $1000 = $350.

Administration of Program

  • The MCLAX Board and fundraising chair reserve the rights to:
    • Interpret program rules and make final eligiblity determinations.
    • Require additional documentation if needed.
    • Modify program policy as necessary to protect the integrity and sustainability of MCLAX and Lakewood Ranch High School Lacrosse.
