Student-Athlete Heart Screening (ECG/EKG) – October 17

Important for new LRHS lacrosse players and families!
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Florida requires incoming ninth-grade student-athletes and students in grades 10–12 participating in FHSAA-sanctioned athletics for the first time to complete an ECG/EKG heart screening.
The School District of Manatee County and Who We Play For are offering a convenient, affordable screening opportunity for local student-athletes.
Screening Details:
- Quick, painless, non-invasive ECG screening
- Approximately 5 minutes per screening
- Reviewed by a board-certified pediatric cardiologist
- Open to students ages 10–25
- $20 per student

This is a community screening opportunity shared by MCLAX. The event is organized by Who We Play For in partnership with the School District of Manatee County.
